Rue Crémieux

A short stroll over the Seine brought us to Rue Crémieux, a quaint street from 1865. The narrow street is lined with colorful homes that remind me of London’s Portobello Road. I fell in love with the sea of pastel colors and intricate details on each door.

I snagged this cozy poncho from Maje during Paris’ winter sales. Paris does two huge sales per year (winter, summer), where every store has discounted merchandise. Shopping heaven lasts six weeks, with the prices getting lower and lower as the sales go on. I used my excuse of 4/7 boxes getting lost in the mail to also purchase a pair of black low-heeled booties (must-haves in Paris), a few basic black dresses, and a special valentine’s dress for next weekend. Notice a trend? Parisians are all about black and neutral colors for sophisticated, classic looks. You won’t find anyone wearing a bright Kate Spade dress here.

Another beautiful day together in our new home!
