Happy St. Patty’s day!
I’ve been trying various green juice recipes over the past few months, and after many iterations (and failures :p), I finally landed on a good one this morning. This is based on a recipe my friend Linda (who’s also celebrating her birthday today!) shared from minimalistbaker.com.
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 medium banana (frozen)
- 2 cups fresh spinach (frozen)
- 1/2 cup berries (frozen)
- 1 tsp flaxseed
- 3/4-1 cup vanilla almond milk
- 1 heaping tsp of almond butter
- drizzles of honey
- berries to top
Instead of adding ice, I usually just freeze the fruit and spinach. You can use peanut butter instead of almond butter (turns out peanut butter is extremely expensive in Paris and I don’t like it anyway.) Don’t skip out on the avocado though; it adds a smooth texture. Add more almond milk if you find it too thick.
Blend it all together and there’s my breakfast! Serves two.
