Earlier this week, I launched www.ourparisstories.com with two of my friends Christina and Leah. It’s been a whirlwind of a month, from idea conception (on a ferry to San Juan Islands), to team recruitment, to building, and finally to our public reveal. Christina runs our social media campaigns, Leah’s our photographer, and I build the website and overall vision.
One of the wonderful things about living in Paris is having access to so much art and culture at your fingertips. Whenever I’m having a tough day, I love being able to duck into a museum and forget outside troubles for a few hours. It’s been a stressful week (we just released a big feature at work and I’m launching a new personal project very soon). I’m sure glad it’s Friday!
Back in June, Refinery29 asked me to keep a Money Diary, where “millennial women are asked how they spend their hard-earned money during a seven-day period”. While the article didn’t end up getting published, I thought I’d share part of it here. Here’s what a Parisian week of spending looks like for me…
- Started my morning with a matcha pastry from Aki Boulanger. €3
- Subsidized lunch at work consisted of salad, watermelon, and a mini baguette. Can’t get enough of those French baguettes. €2.58
- Came home to dinner in the oven- thanks Ty! €6
- Eurocup 2016 was on! Met up with friends, painted our faces, and cheered for France.
